Terms of Service

These terms cover bakery owners and team members using CakeWise on the web and in the CakeWise app. By creating an account or using CakeWise, you agree to them.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

1. Your account

CakeWise accounts are created by invitation. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract for your business. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the team members you invite. Tell us right away at support@cakewise.app if you think your account has been used without permission.

2. What CakeWise does

CakeWise gives bakeries a website, online ordering, quotes, invoices, a calendar, customer records, reporting and related tools. We may improve, change or remove features over time. If we remove a paid feature you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.

3. Your bakery and your content

You own your menu, photos, text, customer list and other content you add. You give CakeWise permission to host, copy, display and process that content only as needed to run your website and the service. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, and that your product descriptions, prices, allergen information and policies are accurate. You are the seller of your baked goods and are responsible for food safety, licensing, labeling, taxes and fulfilling your orders.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t use CakeWise to break the law, sell prohibited items, send spam, mislead customers, upload content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or infringes someone else’s rights, try to access other bakeries’ data, or interfere with the service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Customer payments

Card payments from your customers are processed by Stripe through your own connected Stripe account and are subject to Stripe’s terms. Money from those payments goes to you, not CakeWise. A platform fee may apply if shown to you before you connect. Refunds, chargebacks and disputes with your customers are your responsibility. Payment methods you list as instructions (such as Zelle, Venmo or cash) are handled directly between you and your customer; CakeWise does not process or guarantee them.

6. Subscriptions

Some features need a paid plan. Plans, prices and what each includes are shown on our website before you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled, and you can cancel any time on the web; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires. We will tell you in advance before changing the price of your plan.

7. Customer information and privacy

You are responsible for using your customers’ information lawfully and only to serve them. Our Privacy Policy explains how CakeWise handles personal information.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account any time in Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or remains unpaid. Records we must keep for tax and accounting are kept as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

CakeWise is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep it reliable and secure, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for the baked goods, orders or conduct of any bakery or customer.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, CakeWise is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid CakeWise in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to cover CakeWise’s reasonable costs from claims caused by your products, your content, your dealings with your customers, or your breach of these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use CakeWise after that means you accept the updated terms.
